Dubai Tourism Sector Set To Witness Rapid Revival
As per reports, demand could soon increase for hotel accommodation in Dubai, particularly in light of recent trends. The hotel and tourism sectors in Dubai are already witnessing a major revival post the 7th of July, 2020. The phased re-launching of services by airlines in Dubai is leading to an acceleration of recovery for hospitality and tourism in Dubai. This rapid revival has thrown up encouraging and positive market responses to the second phase of the recovery blueprint that was implemented in tandem with the gradual commencement of various business and economic sectors along with the staggered restarting of global tourism. This was confirmed by the Director-General at Dubai Tourism, Helal Saeed Almarri.
Bookings are steadily increasing for both flydubai and Emirates Airline with the latter confirming approximately 70 destinations and the former covering 66 destinations throughout the summer period. Almarri has also stated that people remain hugely optimistic and well-aware of safety protocols along with being ready to visit places which are safer and have implemented stronger safety and health protocols ...
... of their own. Al Marri has also stated that Dubai Tourism worked closely with all partners and stakeholders for development of unique initiatives geared towards the new normal. He expects good momentum in the 2020’s last quarter on the basis of the growth blueprints that have been adopted for spurring higher momentum prior to complete reopening.
Demand should go up for comparatively affordable hotels in Dubai which adhere to safety protocols, have good amenities in place and strategic connectivity to major business hubs and commercial districts. Hotels like Gulf Court Business Bay could benefit immensely in this regard. The highly efficient management of the COVID-19 pandemic by Dubai city authorities has led to lower infections and fast increasing rates of recovery. This has naturally enabled Dubai to open up for tourists from the 7th of July, 2020, onwards. The UAE and Dubai have tackled the pandemic with rapid and methodical steps for instilling higher confidence amongst all visitors and encouraging them to come to Dubai safely. Several hotels are winning back travelers by offering the best safety and hygiene protocols along with amenities and initiatives like staycations. Beach properties or those in strategic locations are posting higher rates of occupancy as well.
