Human has been a curious being who always look for new things and ways to create something unique. In the past, we have invented and discovered so many things and had used them in different ways that it is unlikely to think that there may be something that we want to erase. The method of tattooing is very old that we don't even know when it was first used. However, it is a thing that we still do. Historical evidence shows tattooing was a common practice in ancient times, and we have even found some mummies with more than one tattoo in their bodies.
Although the tattoo is ancient and was used for several purposes, we can't deny that we have been on a lookout for methods that can help us remove them. Generally, we use the term regret tattoo for the ones we want to remove, and from ancient times we have found some ways to it.

Old Methods That Were Used to Remove Tattoos

If we look into what a tattoo is, we can say that it is a way of creating some design or symbol on the skin by injecting color pigments. In the old-time, these pigments were extracted from plants, natural substances, and other things. ...
... For injecting them, people had used fish bones and makeshift needles. The method was painful and took some time to finish however, the ways they use for tattoo removal were much more painful and risky.

Salabration and Dermabrasion

Salabration and dermabrasion were used simultaneously to remove the tattoo and were nothing like any process of cosmetic dermatology treatments Indore that we use today. For this process, they used salt water that helped to weaken the bond between skin tissues. After that, they scrub the tattooed skin with the help of an abrasive surface object. This method was painful, with a high risk of infection.

Skin Excision

Another method used in old times was skin excision, which means to remove the tattooed skin itself. It was a surgical method that was done by knives and later with CO2 lasers. This method left a scar and was very risky and painful.

Substance Injection

Substance injection is not a very popular process but was used for the purpose. In this process, a substance is injected into the tattooed skin, which was believed to dissolve the tattoo's ink and make it disappear. This process was not that effective and caused other skin and tissue damage.

Laser Procedure for Safe Tattoo Removal

We currently use a far more effective and risk-free method, it uses a q-switch laser, which is a type of non-ablative laser. Laser tattoo removal Indore or somewhere you have made it quite easy to remove tattoos without any downtime or risk. In the process, the laser shoots a beam of photons on the skin, generating heat on the surface. This heat travels inside the skin layers and reaches the dermis layer, where the tattoo's ink resides. The ink then absorbs the heat and shatters, this creates a chain reaction, and in time the ink becomes some small that our immune system flushes it out. This way, the tattoo gets removed without causing any pain and side-effects.

Conclusion

Tattoo removal processes are as old as the tattooing itself and had been used alongside it. In the past, we have some procedures that were useful but had high risk and were very painful. But now, with modern laser and clinical dermatology treatments, we can remove the regret tattoo easily. If you are thinking of tattoo removal, visit a dermatologist in Indore or someone near you and get the tattoo removed with the new and safe procedure.
