We all have that one friend who wakes up out of the blue and decides to become more healthy. They start out with a fire and often fizzle out once the difficulties start pouring in.

It is indeed true that our lifestyle doesn’t support a balance life, or even a diet. Wanting to be healthy is a choice that one has to make in every lifestyle decision that comes up throughout the day, and ones friends can play a major role in motivating us throughout the day, and keeping a check on us.

Hence, we are going to talk about some tips for those who want to support their friends or their partners be more healthy.

The first thing you can do, if you aren’t doing it already, is to try and mirror their habits and lifestyle, at least when you are in front of them. This can reduce the feeling of suffering alone and help them feel motivated. This basically means that if you guys had samosas for chai every evening, substitute them with protein snacks.

Another thing you can do is check the protein bar price in your local store and stock them up accordingly. Buy them in a variety of flavours, so that it doesn’t ...
... get too monotonous.

Another thing you can do is to help them find the joys of trying to be healthy. Take their mind off the cribbing. Don’t force the benefits of being healthy on them, but support and compliment them ever so slightly on how the healthy lifestyle is beginning to show in their posture, in their skin and weight, etc. Once they connect the feeling of feeling good about themselves with getting healthy, it is a masterstroke and they will always keep working on themselves no matter what.

Cut down booze and smoking from your lives completely. Resist the urge to smoke around them. Instead, substitute these with better habits, like taking a short walk around the block. Or taking a short meditation session during a break. If their mind is in the right place and their muscle which remember the memory of eating junk food is placated, then they can go a long way in maintaining these newly developed healthy habits.

Once things start progressing, and they have been going to the gym for a long time, they will also start needing high protein snacks. This is another place where the aforementioned protein bars come into play - they can be easily carried, they are good for your health, and they can be consumed very quickly on the go. They are far superior to protein shakes when it comes to convenience, and convenience can go a long way in helping you stay motivated when it comes to working out and staying healthy.
