When we talk about the media which had been one and only mode of playing audio and video; then they were the cassettes. They were the only thing that people enjoyed through the 60’s and ruled the world till 90’s. It has been the top most name in music and video playing methods it has millions of people on it. And it ran longer than 40 years. The other thing that was affected was the compact cassettes were known for low sound quality that was progressively changed in the 70s and people started enjoying it later one with the time. But as far as DVDs are concerned they took places of the cassettes because they were more reliable and sturdy than them and slowly they took over the cassette market completely by replacing them both in audio and video.
