The Bat mitzvah ceremony is like a Bar Mitzvah. This ceremony happens around the 12th birthday of the girl. The ceremony follows a similar outline to the Bar Mitzvah. In the ceremony, the girl might read from the Torah. After complete this ceremony, the girl should follow Jewish law. She has the responsibility of Jewish rules. Some of the rules are less strict for girls than boys.

According to the congregation, girls and boys perform part of service such as read the b'rachot over the Torah, red b'rachot for the haftarah, as well as deliver a sermon. Girl and boy must chat a section from Torah for one week. The parent invites guests and arranges everything for Bat or Bar Mitzvah.
