Snakes are long limbless reptiles belonging to the suborder Serpentes. There are many different types of snakes, an important part of the food chain in the earth's ecosystem. But because of pressure caused by invasive species and destruction to their habitat, there's a fall in their counts.
Here is the list of the ten rarest snakes found on the Earth.

Wager's Viper: It is a venomous viper found in northwest Iran and eastern Turkey. It was found in 2008 that they are a critically endangered species.
Alcatrazes Lancehead: It is a critically endangered viper found on a small island off the southeastern coast of Brazil.
Santa Catalina Island Rattlesnake: It is a short, slim pit viper found only on the island of South Catalina in the Gulf of California.
Antiguan Racer: It was previously the world's rarest snake but increased its count due to conservation efforts. It is found on the Caribbean island nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
Darevsky's Viper: It is a venomous viper only found in northwestern Armenia and northeastern Turkey.
Short-Nosed Sea Snake: It is another critically endangered snake ...

Round Island Boa: It is found only on Round Island, Mauritius. Its count has increased over the past years.
Aruba Island Rattlesnake: It is a critically endangered species, the Caribbean island of Aruba, located just off the coast of Venezuela.
Orlov's Viper: It is found in the Black Sea region of Russia. In 2001, it was separated as a new species from the closely related Caucasian viper.
St. Lucia Racer Snake: It has been recently granted the title of the world's rarest snake. It is found on a tiny island on the coast of a tropical Caribbean island, St. Lucia.
