One must have thought of changing the preview of Acrobat PDF file, the way it appears. Well, now you can set the opening view of PDF file for desired appearance. By default, when you first open the PDF file after distilling it in Acrobat Distiller, the PDF page is opened in a Fit Width view. Also, only a portion of the document page gets displayed in the Document pane. But now you can establish the opening view of a PDF file and can also determine the zoom view, with which the file is supposed to be displayed when it's open. Before saving a PDF as a final file, you'll often want to establish the opening view.

In this article, appropriate steps are being discussed about how to control the page view when an Acrobat viewer opens a PDF. Just follow the given below steps and set up the opening view of a PDF file.

1.Open a PDF file.

2.Choose File  Document Properties. The Document Properties dialog box opens.

3.Click Initial View in the left pane.

4.Open the Page Layout pull-down menu by clicking the down-pointing arrow. Choose Single Page.

5.Open the Magnification pull-down menu ...
... and choose Fit Page.

6.Click the OK button.

7.Each time a user opens the file; the initial view opens the document in a single page layout view and fits the page completely in the Document pane. The changes you make in initial view take place only after you save the file.

8.Choose File  Save As and save the file to the tutorial folder. Click ‘Yes' when an alert dialog box opens.

9.When you choose File  Save As and save a file to the same folder using the same filename, Acrobat opens a dialog box informing you a file with the same name already exists in the target folder. It asks whether you want to replace the file. When you choose ‘Yes', you completely rewrite a file. By rewriting a file after several edits, the file is optimized and the result is a more efficient document with a smaller file size. As a matter of practice, always rewrite a file as your last editing step.

Isn't it easy to change the opening view of Acrobat's PDF files? PDF files are prone to corruption due to their high usage over computers. But not to worry about when PDF Repair tools are available to fix PDF files. PDF file corruption due to virus attacks, power outages, unexpected system shutdown, hardware malfunction, uploading/downloading error of PDF files, sending/receiving error of files over internet, freezing while printing of files, all get resolved with PDF Repair software - an apt choice to fix PDF.
