American Airlines, the world’s largest airline in every aspect, is serving to approximately 350 destinations in more than 50 countries with a flight network of almost 6800 aircraft. Along with the numbers what American airlines have to offer is premium service to its passengers.

Flight Change:
If we have learnt anything from our experience of travelling, it is that we can never be sure if our plans are going to line up straight. There is always a chance that we might not be able to board the booked flight. Now if something like that happens, it is enough to sink your heart, but that’s not the case when you opt to travel with the vast network of American airlines. They offer you the option to change your flight.

How can you change your flight?

The conditions for your eligibility to change your flight are:
– The ticket should be booked on the official website or through American Airlines reservations.
– Travel must begin from the US
– Booking shouldn’t be promotional or a part of a group booking.
– The flight you want to change to must have at least 3 hours left ...
... before checking.
If you fulfill the above conditions, access your reservation from ‘My trips’ and click on the ‘Change trip’ option.

In some circumstances, you might need to pay extra for the change while in some, it might be free.

Same-day flight change:
With American Airlines booking, you can reserve a seat on a different flight on the day of your travel conditioned that the origin and destination for your alternate trip must be the same as the booked one.

Flight change can be done on the official website as well as at the airport (Kiosk or the ticket counter)
In case there are no available seats for the same day American Airlines let you standby for an earlier flight on your day of boarding, but the same-day standby doesn’t guarantee a place if somehow a place gets available you’ll get a chance to confirm. Once confirmed, print your new boarding pass and travel Sans Souci.
