Signs Of Travel Addiction In Global Travelers
Humans are all the same all over the world, no matter the profession, religion, race, or caste. Similarly, travelers from every country also have similar traits despite their geographical location. Maybe because when people travel from one country to another, they become acquire even more similar traits. When you are addicted to travel, you behave exactly in a similar way like the friend you met on your trip abroad. If you are not yet aware of your travel addiction, you need to find it out after reading the signs given below:
Travel excites you more than the related problems
Travel for most people does not come easy. They have to travel in local trains, buses, and economy class flights. They have to bear with the long journeys and average hotel rooms. They have to deal with the arguments with roommates in hostel dorms and eat not-so-tasty food while living in the country of their dreams. However, none of the travel issues matter unless the travelers get to explore new places. Even when there are no luxuries, they love traveling just for the sake of it.
You ...
... plan your next travel even before the current one
You cannot resist planning one vacation or long term travel one after the other. While traveling in Kasol, you plan to visit Israel. While traveling in Chennai, you plan to go to Dubai. As you maneuver your way through the car booking app in India, you plan to hire a luxury car in Singapore. One thing leads to another and you love traveling to several places at one time, one place physically and the others in your mind.
You collect currency and souvenirs
Unlike other tourists, you have currency, flags, fridge magnets, and other souvenirs from every country you have visited. You don’t like parting with your keepsakes even when you have to travel with minimum luggage. You are possessive about those remembrances more than anything else in the house.
You hate staying in one place
Even if you live at the most beautiful country in the world, you still dread staying there forever. You hate being stagnant and being on the move all the time is your calling.
You can sleep anywhere
After sleeping on so many beds and in so many camps, you have become a pro at falling asleep even on a rock. You sleep like a soldier with an aware mind that takes care of the belongings even with the eyes closed. You don’t need to have a cozy bed to fall asleep, you can doze off on an airport or even on the baggage reclaim belt! Sleep is just like your body’s need that you can fulfil anywhere you can.
Your friends are foreigners
You don’t have to show it off to your childhood friends, but it comes naturally to you that you make friends from every country you visit. You call your friends abroad more than you call you parents at home.
Being addicted to travel is not a shameful thing at all, so you must not let anyone make you feel bad about it. Be what you are and travel as much as you can!
