1. . . . are active and responsible. Successful learners get involved in the learning process, accept responsibility for their education, as well as are active partakers in it!
Responsibility signifies control. It is the difference between being led and leading. Your efforts control the grade, you get the glory or you deserve the blame, only you make the final decision. Active classroom participation betters grades without adding study time. Also, you are able to sit there, sleep act bored, or daydream. Or, you are capable to actively listen, question, think, and take some notes like someone in the charge of their academic experience. Either choice costs a class period. Though, the former way will need a large degree of extra work out of class to get the same learning degree the latter gives at one sitting. And this choice is yours.

2.. . . have academic goals. Successful learners have legitimate targets and they are motivated by what they introduce regarding life's desires and career ...

Ask yourself the following questions: What do I do here? Why have you decided to sit here now? Is there any better place you could be? What does the presence here mean to you? If your academic goals are really yours, and not someone else's, then they will motivate an important and positive educational attitude.

3.. . . put questions. Successful learners put questions to give the fast route between lack of knowledge and presence of knowledge.
Besides securing knowledge that you seek, putting questions has two other important advantages. The process assists you to pay special attention to the professor and helps the professor pay special attention to you! Consider this. In case you wish something, you should go after it. You need to get the answer right now, or fail the question later. In fact, there is no foolish question, just foolish silence. It is your choice.
