High androgen levels can lead to various problem like:

• Hirsutism (excessive hair growth)
• Obesity or excessive weight gain
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is one of the most common endocrine disorders, and it is also one of the essential reasons for infertility in women. It affects female fertility and has been felt to such a degree that the whole month of September is selected PCOS Awareness Month.
The Symptoms of PCOS, typically include:
• Irregularity in the menstrual cycle, either few menstrual periods or complete lack of it.
• Metabolic syndrome (obesity) or excessive weight gain
• The extreme production of androgens (male hormones)
• Infertility instigated by lack of ovulation (anovulation)
The field of assisted reproduction identifies PCOS is something that every woman should be more informed about. This can only happen when they get diagnosed with the syndrome at the right time.
