Gallstones are miniature sized stones that is produced in the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a pear-shaped sac located below the liver in the upper right area of the abdominal area. Gallstones are produced when lquid stored in the gallbladder becomes hardened and become pieces of stone like tissue. Gallstone is recorded as one of the most common digestive ailments in the United States.
There are two category of gallstones: pigment stones and cholesterol stones. As gallstones move into the bile ducts and cause blockage, pressure goes up in the gallbladder to create symptoms. Up to 90% persons who have gallstones have no immediate symptoms for awhile which are referred to as silent stones. However there are a number of symptoms related to gallstones like discomfort in the right upper abdomen, which is referred to as a gallstone attack. In some instances pain may also be felt from lower region of the abdomen close to the pelvis and also behind the breast bone.
This pain can get worse quickly and lasts from 30 minutes to couple hours. Pain may occur under the right shoulder and also the back, primarily between the ...
... shoulder blades. The pain given off from the gallstones normally happen in the nights following a fatty meal. The gallstone attacks produce very sharp and intense pain. The pain triggered off from bilary colic typically occurs at the same time of day and can even happen years apart.
Gallstones can cause persons also experience an upset stomach, gas, excessive belching, colic and abdominal bloating. Persons may also feel nauseas, prolonged pain, stool that is clay colored, fever, excessive sweating, color of skin and eyes turn yellowish from jaundice. It is usual for person to pass a lot of gas without much relief. This Indigestion is usually caused from overeating, this may cause an uncomfortable feeling in the stomach. Indigestion causes a person with gallstone to feel full shortly after eating, even if a lot of food has not been consumed, this can then be followed by sharp pains in the stomach.
Belching happens when there is an involuntary or voluntary expulsion of gas coming from which exits the mouth but when this happens too often it may become annoying as well as embarrassing especially if it happens in a public setting. This is a common sign that someone may have gallstones if it happens over an extended period of time. Abdominal bloating however, is the opposite of excessive belching, it happens when that same gas in the intestines is incapable of leaving the stomach, because the gas is trapped in the gastrointestinal tract making it hard to be released. This situation can cause make the belly very uneasy.
There are natural treatments which can be used to minimize the tension from gallstones, but if one or more of these symptoms are seen, regularly and get worse over time, it Is suggested that you seek medical attention immediately. Treatment can be done through either antibiotics or in some cases surgical procedure.
