Outsourcing Writers For Search Engines Vs Building Content For Your Business

When outsourcing writers for your website, you may employ them to write for the search engines just to receive high rankings. While this strategy may sound practical, it may cause them to write unnaturally and stray from your ultimate goal. It is always smart to develop a plan and follow it until you get successful, but you should be careful of building your content solely around the search engines for any reason.

This may go against everything you were taught. However, when you truly look at what a search engine is, you will realize why you can build a better foundation if you build content for your business first. Writing for search engines or any other service should come second. A search engine’s job is to produce the best result for the user. This means when an individual puts in a search term, they need to put the most relevant webpage first. Every other page will follow in second, third, or lower.

When people build websites, they do so with the hopes of being number one or getting on page one. This usually drives them to employ the strategy of finding a popular keyword, building website content around ...
... the keyword, placing that content on their website and waiting. What are they waiting for? They are waiting for the search engines to push their webpage to the top position so they can receive lots of traffic.

In essence, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this strategy. However, there are two problems with relying on this strategy for the long term:

1 - Tons of individuals are using this same strategy. Everyone who is using this strategy wants to be in the number one position.
2 - There is only one number one position for each keyword. Everyone cannot be number one.

The search engine owners need to examine thousands–if not millions–of websites before they decide who is going to be number one. How they make their choice is still a complete mystery to most people. What is not mysterious is the fluctuation of pages in the search engines. The website on page one today may end up on page five tomorrow.

It would be very disappointing to create content for a search engine just to end up in the back of the search results. It would be a greater disappointment if you were on page one for two weeks and your position suddenly started to descend. Once your position drops, it is very difficult to push it back to the top. The employed writer’s work will go to waste, and your content may not be as great as you would like it to be because the writer created it for erroneous reasons.

If this does not sound like a situation you would like to deal with, always place natural-written content on your site. Try not to think about search engines when doing this. Using this strategy will prevent you from employing writers to write artificially for search engines. It may also increase your chances of ranking high in search engines since natural quality content is what they are seeking anyway.
