If you revisit the world of Disney, you’d realize how much of the Disney world is about animals, nature and natural significance. You don’t need tons of plastic toys, as of yet, when your child is not yet. Neither can he/she yet identify trends. The only thing that matters for nursery decor, is comfort, visual brightness, coziness, and activity.

Children Love Characters With Fur

Things that look childish and jovial to the adult perception, might not feel the same to the children. Therefore, it is only functional to follow some design semantics that scientifically are good for shaping the cognition of the child.

Children mostly love animals and find a sense of companionship with them, the bears, elephants, foxes, cats, doggies, bring stories and imaginations. That is good for the child’s cognitive skills, and helps boost their creativity and compassion.
The fact that the wildlife and natural world is largely endangered right now, the animal themed setup of the nursery and the first growing years may have a positive impact in the child, helping them connect with nature and the animals ...
... with a sense of friendship and responsibility.

Use Different Colour, Shapes, Textures
Visual interest works for children as well, and sometimes it is not too different from adults. Soothing colours, clean layouts and plenty of natural lights workout essential visual charm and comfort. While it is good to introduce different colours, shapes and textures, try not to overdo it with too much of colourful plastic blocks, or too many things that they don’t yet know the use of. You may paint the bars of the crib in different colours. Paint a rainbow in the world, have plenty of books or animal pattern rugs and things like that to avoid creating a clutter in the name of creating a dream world for your son or daughter.

Stuff That Makes Sense
The point here is don’t create waste in a bid to decorate the first years of your child’s life. This way, the child can also learn to save, and to sustain. Therefore, when you are out shopping for a child's nursery, refrain from buying too many things that don't cater to the child. Let them grow and ask for the toys they want, instead of handing them things because they look good or are in trend. If you are doing that, then you are not allowing the child’s choices to grow fully.

For toddlers, colour, shapes, sounds are the most significant thing. You can add cutesy animal rugs for nursery decoration, a few soft toys, an enchanting wallpaper, and that can be all. The shapes, the patterns, can be just as well the daily objects, it doesn’t have to be a block of plastic. And when it comes to sounds, there’s no better sound than a loved one reading out a story. If you are having children, you should not depend too much on objects to build their dreams. The most beautiful dreams and enchanting fantasies are built around reality. So keep it real, and let your little one create their own fantasy world around it.
