Elevated Work Platform (EWP) or Elevator Installation Platform, is a type of mechanical device that is used to access high-up areas that are normally impossible to reach. These platforms generally comprise of the working platform itself, made of a small sized base and with a mechanical 'arm' and railings or cage used for elevating it. Hydraulic platforms

These are the commonest types of mobile elevated platform, and are also referred to as boom lifts, 'cherry picker' or articulated EWP.
