So when picking exercises, make sure that they are targeting opposing muscle groups for example leg raises and Russian twists. That way, your muscles can recover faster between sets. That’s because it allows one muscle group to relax while the other is contracting. This also minimises the need to rest or take a break between exercises.

There is a compound set of superset workouts, in which both exercises can work on the same groups of muscles, like when you do a set of dumbbell bench presses and a push-up next. Doing this type of superset workout could add more volume and intensity to a workout. Supersets can also have unrelated exercises, like bicep curls and lunges.
