They aren't wrong in considering AI as the biggest existential risk because we are already dependent on clever systems and in the long term, this dependency will only increase.

What we could confront in the time ahead could be our own development. We control the globe because we are the greatest. When we won't be the smartest, could we retain the control? One option visible today is definitely to research and be prepared for any potential bad upcoming outcomes. This can help us to avoid any pitfalls and enjoy the benefits of AI.
