Thousands of employees have lost their job in times of the COVID-19 pandemic as the businesses are shut. In such gloomy times, the biggest eCommerce store, Amazon, has opened 50,000 job opportunities for its fulfillment and delivery networks.

The roles for which amazon has its opening are either contractual or seasonal whose time duration can vary depending upon the duration of the work and the demand in the city.

The company mentioned that there would be a variety of roles in their fulfillment centers including part-time work opportunities with flexibility in time as an independent contractor.

“The associates will join other thousands of associates across Amazon India’s fulfillment and delivery network and assist them to pick, pack, ship, and deliver customers’ orders more efficiently.” said the company.

While the salary which will be paid to such contractors was not disclosed, a glassdoor employee said that the delivery executive in India is paid an average salary of Rs. 16000 per month.
