At one point we all tried to find ways of being totally acne-free. Here are some treatments with natural and not so natural acne that have proved effective.

1. Witch Hazel Astringent

This astringent originates from the same name plant. It is widely spread throughout Canada from Nova Scotia to Texas and Florida. Steam this plant's twigs, and here you are! The extract from which you obtained is your astringent. However, remember to cool it. The good thing about this is that it takes place naturally, and it is also a natural process. Compared to commercial astringents, you can assure yourself that it is less harsh.

2. Commercially Produced Astringents

We can also buy over the counter astringents without any doubt. There are many versions that can be selected for better skin with additional ingredients. The only drawback is that the chemicals added to this formula can be a little bit severe. Take care of them as the skin can dry.

3. All-Natural Treatments

Acne and kitchen are two enemies of which we may not know. Scout the kitchen for things such as oranges and lemons, fresh garlic ...
... and raw potatoes.

-- On cotton balls, oranges and lemons need only be squeezed. After about 20 minutes, apply the extract to the affected areas and wash.

-- Fresh garlic is a lot easier to use. Remove the peeling before rubbing on your face.

-- Peel and rub the flat surface of raw potatoes on your face.

The natural extracts from the fruits and vegetables can help reduce redness and purify the skin at the same time.

4. Oral Antibiotics

Antibiotics are prescribed for serious cases. These medicines are taken orally to reduce inside and around the skin follicles the amount of bacteria. It also decreases white blood cells' exasperating chemicals. Finally, the concentration of free fatty acids found in sebum is reduced by antibiotics that also cause anti-inflammatory action. Check the right antibiotic and dosage with your dermatologist.

The most frequently prescribed antibiotic for acne therapy is tetracycline. It should take most of this antibiotic with the empty stomach. Also, pregnant women and children under 9 shouldn't use this. The beginning dosage is usually 500 milligrams twice daily and is taken continuously until a significant lesion drop is visible.

Erythromycin is in second place and may be prescribed for women who are pregnant. But nausea and even stomach upset may be caused. Erythromycin has both anti-inflammatory and bacterial killing effects in comparison with tetracycline, which can only kill bacteria. In a food filled tummy, this antibiotic must also be taken. You can talk to your doctors about the effects and side effects of each other with other possible antibiotics.

5. Topical Treatments
External creams have also been proven to be effective for the treatment of acne. But it results in drying and flaking, but it is said to be the most efficient medication for severe acne. Benzoyl peroxide is an effective and common treatment for topical acne.
