The main advantages of using an electric kettle is its convenience and speedy result in boiling water. For these reasons, they are also used to make simple recipes especially by those people who are far from home and have no access to stove or other cooking appliances.
Whether you are in a camp, dormitory, or hotel these easy to cook recipes will surely save you time and money.

Scramble Burrito. This meaty meal can be easily cooked in an electric kettle. All you need is a BPA free Ziplock bag. First, prepare hot water in an electric kettle. Get the Ziplock bag and crack at least 4 eggs into it, add milk if desired. Then put in salsa, pre-cooked chicken or chorizo, jalapeños, cheese, desired veggies, and beans. Squeeze out excess air from the Ziplock bag, close, and shake it to mix all the ingredients inside. Double the Ziplock bag for more security then put it into the kettle with the hot water that you prepared earlier. Boil for 5 minutes or until the eggs are cooked. Wrap the cooked ingredients in a tortilla with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, avocado, and more cheese. You can now enjoy your ...

Miso Soup with Tofu and Seaweed Sheet. Soup makes every meal more appetizing. To make this delicious Japanese soup, prepare hot water, miso paste, tofu, seaweed sheet, onions, and bean sprouts. Put desired amount of miso paste into a bowl and pour required amount of water following the instruction on the miso paste pack/container. Chop the tofu into small cubes and cut the seaweed sheet into thin strips then add them to the bowl with onions and bean sprout. You can add water chestnuts to enhance the flavor. Enjoy!
Rice Meal. You might think it is impossible to cook rice in an electric kettle but it is definitely not. Soak rice for 20 minutes. Chop your favorite vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, carrots, and beans. Put the rice and the vegetables into the kettle with water and salt to taste then cook for 20 minutes. Just like every rice meal, this is best served hot.
Sweet Corn Pasta. This is a creamy pasta recipe you will surely love. Heat up sweetcorn and butter in the kettle for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the sweetcorn and put the pasta with the appropriate amount of water then boil for a few minutes following the instruction in the pasta pack. Once cooked, drain the water, and transfer the pasta on a plate. Add the sweetcorn, cheese, mushroom, and your preferred herbs such as parsley and basil.
Rice Noodles. You’re probably used of making instant noodles with your electric kettle but let’s make some twists. Instead of the typical noodles, why not try this rice noodle recipe. Place your preferred amount of rice noodles into a bowl and pour hot water over the noodles. Cover the bowl with a lid or plate to keep the heat inside. Wait for five minutes or until the noodles are cooked. Heat up ingredients that you wish to add to your rice noodles such as shrimps, mushrooms, and spinach by putting them into a Ziplock bag and boil for 3 to 4 minutes or until cooked. Mix the cooked ingredients from the Ziplock bag to the rice noodles bowl, add peanut sauce, bean sprout, spring onions, salt, and other flavorings such as lime or hot sauce. You can drain the water from the bowl after the rice noodles are cooked before adding other ingredients if you don’t want soup in your rice noodles.

You see electric kettles are not only good for teas and oatmeal. Try these recipes in your electric kettle to experience them yourself.
