With the recent interest in green environmentally friendly practices, the use of biomass fuel for heating has been increasingly popular. Biomass fuel pellets, usually in the form of pelletized sawdust, wood chips, or branches, are easily sourced locally and sustainably and offer convenient fully-automated operation. The cleanness, ease of use, and high combustion efficiency of pellets make them very popular.

Numerous Biomass Options

Biomass pellets are produced using a small easily obtainable flat die pellet mill. Materials are prepared with a wood pellet hammer and then processed by the wood pellet machine into compressed wood pellets. In addition to sawdust, wood chips, and branches, the following are some other materials people have had success with:

* Wheat Straw

* Ice Husk

* Corn Straw

* Sorghum

* Peanut Straw

* Soybean Straw

* Alfalfa Straw
...
... br /> * Cotton Stalk

* And more! As you can see a wide variety of materials have been successfully used.

Maintaining Your Biomass Pellet Boiler

Here are some maintenance tips:

* For safety, the control button must be reset before the boiler is started, to ensure it is properly closed and safe for use.

* On a regular basis clean the burn pot with a scraper. This should be required no more than weekly, but with some fuel materials it may be necessary more frequently.

* The lower the ash content of the pellets, the less cleaning of the heat exchange tubes will be required.

* The cleaner the heat exchange tubes are, the more efficient the boiler will be.

* Once you set the igniter switch to "auto." you can use the "temperature" dial to adjust the boiler, it will automatically adjust the feed speed to attain your desired temperature at maximum efficiency.

* Keep the hopper filled with pellets and remove the ashes as needed.

* Only use pelletized wood in the wood pellet boiler.
