Due to COVID-19, every institute and schools is closed In order to curb the spread COVID-19 all municipalities, state governments and centre government have come to the closure of the schools. COVID-19 is indeed a difficult situation for all of us. Even the commercial and business sector of the country is deeply affected by this pandemic.

However, laptops, phones, and the internet have improved this situation. For all the people who work on their laptops are working remotely. They have a better situation than the youth and tinny tauts of the country. Though sometimes they are stuck by working at home. Conference meetings are replaced either by con calls or video calls. Human interactions and mutual understanding are minimized because of work pressure. But students have to suffer a lot. Though they are getting digital lessons. India being an ancient country believes in teaching and learning through pen and paper. Digitalised education certainly cannot overtake the place of conventional methods. Learning and teaching has overnight gone under tremendous change. As per stats this practice is not so appreciated by the teacher ...
... and students all over India. There are so many reasons for not accepting it.

Lockdown has made us realise the potential of online teaching and learning. All the students who are unable to get to the campus can benefit from this even when the situation gets better. This lockdown has certainly given us the time to improve our knowledge and skill set. We can join any online course and start learning from it while being at home. The necessity steps that need to be taken while registering for an online course is also mentioned at the same site only which makes it easy to register.

All the top 10 schools in Faridabad have adopted the virtual path of learning. According to the HRD ministry all the schools, colleges, institutes, working place, will be opened after the notice given by the state or centre government. To bridge the gap between teaching and learning top schools who have enough resources have started online teaching and assessments.

To give it a real classroom experience all the schools have given significant details on their official site. They have made it possible to meet teachers from a distant place. Even parents can discuss their child’s growth through this medium. On one hand digitalisation has blessed us in uncounted ways while on the other it only caters to only a percentage of the country.

Internet based teaching is more transparent and democratic when compared with class teaching. As there are no backbenchers. Everybody is right there in front of the teacher. With access to technology everywhere this technological learning has grown like fire.
Not only this state government and centre government has come up with so many free online courses. These online courses have been designed especially for both teachers and students.

Virtual learning has impacted us so deeply. With the help of virtual teaching tools it's almost easy to pick and choose a certain course. Best of teachers throughout the globe can teach thousands of students at the same time. Online teaching widely covers everything in large details. Almost all the subjects and teachings are available online.

The best schools in Faridabad has even accepted suggestions and complaints from the parents and students about this mode of teaching. We hardly have to step for this from our place as well. We can enjoy learning and teaching from our homes only.

The only negative aspect about online learning is its limited access to a country like India which is not so technologically sound. We as a country largely depend on the primary sector. Even the schools in these areas are not so modern because they don’t have enough resources with them. Significantly, a major chunk of our society currently depends upon the old ways of getting education. We cannot expect all the students of the nation to have access to laptops, computers, smart phones and wireless internet connection. Also, at this time where surviving for the lower middle class and below poverty line is becoming a challenge, asking them to get technologies for their students doesn’t actually make sense. Government has tried its best to provide free online programmes but if one doesn;t have technology how can one get to access these things.

Currently the physical infrastructure of learning and education is only limited to the online screen. CBSE schools in Faridabad are following the syllabus laid by CBSE. But to maintain a healthy face to face discussion is not possible. No matter how nicely we think, we are equipped with technology but in the real world we are not.

These situations widen up the gap between the number of candidates that should receive education by the number of students actually receiving education. According to the UNICEF report, this gap will not only increase the gender gap in the society but will also result in marrying of young girls. This implies young girls will be asked to leave schools at puberty and will forcefully get married. The tension of this situation gets hiked with unexpected pregnancies at a young age that these young girls have to go through without their consent. The gender gap between boy and girl will get worse than the current ratio.

Henceforth, this lockdown doesn’t not only alter the economic statistics of the country but also the gender statistics of it. We hope this situation gets better so that everyone can get quality education and can fight for themselves. We should always remember one thing that empowered women empowers women. Hence, girl education is much more important than any boy’s education. We as a society have to encourage girl’s education despite the current situations.
