On arrival, we found out that Fantasy Island is basically a separate island from Roatan. It is connected with a wooden bridge to the main island. The resort comes with everything tropical, comprising free-roaming monkeys and peacocks at the monkey and Sloth Park and lush tropical vegetation. The staffs working here has done an incredible job of keeping this resort look like a newly explored hidden beach, while still catering a complete service resort full of dive centre.

Walking into the lobby area of the resort, we were treated with non-alcoholic fruit drinks, the brought to the beach region where we can leave our possessions until the snorkel trip completes. After receiving he snorkel gear, we reached our very first snorkel site, with a sunken boat near the shore. The second site was a coral reef, just a few fin kicks from the shore. I was a diver, and I should say that the beauty and the health of this shallow reef is something I have never seen while diving much deeper. Exiting the water was convenient, thanks to the shaded pier that projects into the water, especially for snorkelers and divers.
