To become a college student means to face a lot of new things, a lot of new friends, a lot of new difficulties. And lack of experience is the main cause of all possible problems. That is why, any freshmen must get to know the way to begin student life successfully. The facts those can be useful for any newcomer are the following:

1. Always remember personal interests and preferences of yours. You are an individual and you must have your own point of view. And college must not influence you, making you change yourself or drop some of your principles. At college you are to develop all your skills and improved them, but not waste.

2. Find the necessary support. You may do it with the help of some small societies gathering at college. Such separate societies can have separate traditions but, if you chose two of them, you are to realize, what traditions in the both are alike to get to know college traditions. At the same time you will understand the interests each group of students has to get to know which one is close to you.

3. Do not try to become a friend to all students. You are hardly being able to find ...
... out a college where all the students get along well with each other. You are to be ready to select just one group of students as all of them cannot become your friends.

4. Think about your own appearance. It may be rather difficult to understand what you are to wear on. You are to understand how great meaning of your appearance and behavior is and study the behavior and appearance of elder students. It will make it easier for you to get along well with them. Remember that your cloth may become a cause of some students' refuse to talk to you. Do not be too eccentric.
