Cannabis is used in different parts of the world. In some places, it is legal, whereas, in other areas, it is still illegal to use Cannabis, as it is considered as an illicit drug. Many studies have been conducted in the past, and many are still going on to understand the effects of Cannabis on mental health. However, we have yet not reached any conclusion whether Cannabis use will help us in dealing with mental health conditions, or it will deteriorate our mental health further.

How our mind is affected by Cannabis use?

Cannabis has both pleasant and unpleasant effects on our minds and body. On one side, the use of Cannabis can make a person feel relaxed and stress-free. It takes the person to a calm state, or they may feel quite high or blissful. Everything around may feel so pleasant and full of joy. On the other hand, people have also reported the problem of panic attacks, a spike in anxiety level, memory loss, and sometimes decreased motor skills. All these unpleasant effects on mental health can become a big problem for people. As not much evidence is available to support these conditions, so saying that ...
... Cannabis is beneficial or harmful to use is not possible.

Why Cannabis potentially harms your mental health?

Specific reasons can make Cannabis affect your mental health badly. One of the main reasons is the regular usage of Cannabis. No matter what your age is, but if you are using Cannabis regularly, it will start harming your brain, which can result in the loss of memory also.

Another reason is the high dosage of Cannabis. Taking a high dosage of Cannabis can even lead to suicidal thoughts, or increase the chances of panic attacks. Cannabis contains THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), and it starts regulating our emotions and affect some areas of our brain, leading to serious mental health problems. Consumption of Cannabis at the age of brain development also impacts one's mental health adversely. Like the adolescents who start taking Cannabis before the age of 18 may face problems in focussing, memorizing, and many other such issues.

Researchers are still doing some studies to prove how Cannabis can affect our mental health. However, we suggest people consuming Cannabis must not ingest regularly or over dose. If you are consuming it for the treatment of any health issues, consult with your doctor.
