Recognized as one of the Char Dhams, Puri is a prominent pilgrimage site in Odisha. The city is flocked by thousands of travelers across the globe especially during the festival of “Rath Yatra” which falls in June or July. Located on the costal Odisha, the city of Puri experience hot & humid climate more than any other weather condition! It’s only during winter the temperatures are down, so you can easily meander around the city, relishing the sun and sand without getting exhausted of the scorching heat.

Summer (March-May):

Summers aren’t the best time of the year to visit Puri as the season tends to remain pretty hot and humid. Temperatures range between 19-45 degree Celsius makes it really tough for tourists to explore the attractions.

Though in summer, it gets really tough to explore different attractions of the city, but it’s quite comforting to spend time on the beach. The cool water of the beach brings great comfort especially during the evening hours.

From October to February Puri tourism also touches its peak hosting the maximum number of tourists. It’s also the perfect time of year to explore & enjoy different beaches of Puri including the Baliharachandi Beach, the Baleshwar Beach, and the Swargadwar Beach. In November you can also witness the famous beach festival which has something for all ages, from fashion shows to folk performances, from rock concerts to beach parties.
