Wiped film evaporator is mainly designed to maintain challenging evaporation needs with materials like heat-sensitive, low thermal conductivity. Basically, this technique involves the separation of volatile compounds by introducing a mechanically stimulated thin film of the feed material on the heated surface. In Wiped Film Evaporator, the rotating wiper system distributes the raw product to the film on the middle surface of the hot water pipe. The wiping system tries to speed up the evaporation process by keeping the product film turbulent which will optimize the heat transfer and mass transfer.
