Outlook Express is a good and lightweight email client developed by Microsoft Corporation. However, it is a good email program; it is not away from corruption. The .dbx file where Outlook Express saves your emails, notes, contacts, etc. can be damaged anytime due to issues like virus infection, system failure, abrupt system shut down, application errors, etc. Once the .dbx file is damaged, emails, notes, contacts, etc. stored in it become inaccessible. Go through the specified location, copy the .dbx file, and save at a safe location so that you can import it after reinstalling Outlook Express.
