We all know about the audio and video cassettes which were the only thing that were the media players for both videos and music and the audio cassettes were merely made for dictation process. These were the cassettes that had only one set of storing capacity and the cassette were supposed to flip the other once it has finished playing, but yet the amount of data were so less that only it has the capacity of playing maximum fifty to sixty minutes. When it is compared to the DVDs or CDs then it was very less. The cassettes were in huge production in the early sixties and were got a great hype in the beginning of eighties and the video cassettes were the only one that had the recording capacities and they were also treated as pocket recorders too. In the early nineties the emergence of compact discs made huge differences and people suddenly came out of things that was years old and they had lot of memories stores on that. And followed by playing the compact discs they started to transfer video tapes to DVD so that there so fond memories can have a safe storage and have a longer life.

More changes

Things changed ...
... more when the market started filling up with the audio and video CDs and the sale of the cassettes just fall down as people were looking more for the new things which has clearer sound and better picture quality to watch out for. By the turn of the century, few stores kept good stocks of audio and video cassettes even though many companies still produce blank cassettes even in 2008. In the recent time the duplication or the transfer video tapes to DVD became popular because they kept the memories of the cassettes more safely. Not only just the music and video recordings but these cassettes held the most inspirational quotes and many lovely moments of the relatives and parents of the customers. Due to demand and the various benefits of the digital storage the duplication of the CDs and DVDs became possible as these CDs and DVDs provides a safe and consistent storage media with an extremely long shelf life and the data that are stored in this optical storage media are not affected by magnetic fields that were present in the cassettes. And these kinds of media are easily transferrable as large amounts of data may be carried on a single disc due to large spacing capacity and can be easily transferable to internet and other kinds of digital locations.
