Well, your brand new men's underwear seems so perfect. From colors to the fitting of your elastic and its fabric, looks picture perfect but after certain washes, you start missing out that lingerie with which you fell in love at first sight. Ever wondered, why?

Fading out colors, drooping of elastic and sagging of the fabric is caused due to improper washing and it’s the number one reason men complain about the fit of their underwear.

1. Say no to the hot dryer:

Hot or cloth dryer is also known as a tumble dryer, is a household appliance that is used to remove moisture from clothes, bedding, and other textiles, usually shortly after ...
... they are washed in a washing machine. Hot dryers are capable of harming delicate clothing so its better if you let your men's underwear experience the soft touch of natural air which is 100% safe as well, also air-drying technique makes your lingerie look better and last more than a year.

2. Bleach and cleansing agent is good for your other uses:

Bleach, fabric softener is good for your shirts but not for nylon polyester and microfiber lingerie. The conditioning specialists and aroma that is being used in it have the potential to damage the delicate texture and weave of your underwear. If you are highly addicted to such agents, try them on your cotton-based underwear.

3. Sunlight is important but no di-sun-light:

Well, you guys must be wondering what is di-sun-light? Di-sun-light stands for direct sunlight which is again harmful to your underneath clothing as it consists of UVA and UVB that have the potential to ruin the surface of the silk, polyester, and even your nylon, hence make sure you dry them up in the shade where they are exposed to outside air however not the brutal daylight.
But what if our male underwear is made out of microfiber or bamboo fabric? Do we have to follow the same instructions or are there any specific rules set for them?
To know more, scroll down.

Wash and Care tips according to fabric:

1.Cotton:

Cotton is a natural fabric due to which it has a strong texture. Its lightweight, soft and sturdy as compared to other fabrics. Its delicate touch keeps the manhood in a bliss still you have to follow certain instructions before washing them.
Light and dark-colored men's lingerie should be washed independently. Though machine wash won't harm them its good to use a mesh bag for that. Hand washing is the ideal way.
Tumble dry is not a bad option but it's great if you use it when you have no time for yourself otherwise air dry is the right choice.

2.Stretch cotton:

Underwear for men which is made out of stretch cotton consists of spandex for additional toughness and a snugger fit. Stretch cotton lingerie comes with 90% cotton and 10% spandex.
I hope you have separated your light and dark lingerie beforehand and machine wash. Always use cold to warm water and stay away from cleaner.

3.Microfiber:

Microfiber lingerie is delicate as compared to nylon, polyamide and spandex underwear. If not taken proper care it might get stretchy and brisk drying so there is no point in using the dryer. Cold to warm water is advised.
For once, you can go for tumble dry in cases of nylon, polyester but not in case of microfiber as the too-hot dryer can dissolve manufactured textures. Apart from microfiber, other men's underwear made out of modular and bamboo is also not advised for machine wash as that can build up pills.
Bamboo, modular and microfiber are not made for cleansing or bleaching agents.

4.Sheer:

Machine wash is also not recommended for men's sheer underwear due to its fragile nature and also make sure your towels and pants are not there while washing this style. Water range from cold to warm is absolutely fine if it ranges to hot better combine with cold water. No more clothespins while drying them up.
