Ooty is a resort town in the nilgiri hills in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a popular hill station and locals call it blue hills. Its natural beauty attracts is mesmerising and it is a popular summer destination for tourists. The weather there is pleasant throughout the year. Ooty is a flower county. There are various gardens showcasing their wide variety of flowers to the tourists and visitors. Every year in the month of May an event is organized called the Flower Show which is held in the Botanical Gardens in Ooty. Several exotic and indigenous species of beautiful flowers are displayed there. The government rose garden is another flower attraction in Ooty which has about 20,000 varities of roses. A visual treat to all the gardening enthusiasts.
The Ooty Lake which is also called as Ooty boat house is a major attraction. The lake is surrounded by groves of huge eucalyptus ...
... trees. Boating is the prime attraction there. It is quite a different experience than the usual boating we do because the view is so enchanting, the scenic view of tall hills and the setting sun. You can hardly get over it. There is a mini garden and amusement park near the lake for the kids to play. Locals sell their goods near the lake mainly Carrots.
