It is always important to take some time and think twice before making any decision regarding trekking. Keep in mind that it does not matter, what kind of trek you choose, you should prepare yourself both mentally and physically. You can choose dolpa trek, Everest base camp trek, or Annapurna circuit trek but you should avoid doing these mistakes.

• Trekking without the guide

Travelling to Nepal is quite hassle for foreign travellers because right from transportation to accommodation everything is different from other countries. You should go through several things and challenges when going for trekking. During the peak season, teahouses are full in the major trails. In such condition, you cannot able to do anything lonely. Thus, it is advisable to hire a guide when start trekking. However, many trekkers refused ...
... to hire the guide just because of saving money. Remember one thing that hiring the guide is quite expensive but their service is extremely big. In fact, their guidance is not worth for the money you pay. They know all the rules and routes of the country so that you will be safe all the times.

• Not purchase the travel insurance

Almost all the treks in Nepal are above 2000meters and sometimes it extends up to 4000meters. Thus, the chance of getting altitude sickness is high for the trekkers. On the other hand, you cannot able to predict the weather in the mountain because it is challenging. Generally, the elegance and beauty of the Himalayas come with uncertainty. Sometimes, you have to expose yourself to steep terrains, high altitudes, and different landscapes. To be frank, you are in an environment where anything can happen at any time. To face a difficult situation, having travel insurance is highly important. While having insurance, you can able to feel secure and need not worry a lot. Generally, travel insurance covers loss, theft, helicopter rescue, and medical in case of emergency. However, some trekkers do not know the real value of insurance and avoid purchasing it. of course, it consumes some money but it is for your life-saving.
