CBSE Class 9th Mathematics Question Paper format 2020

Question paper format includes the type of questions and marks distribution in paper. This year, CBSE has made some changes in the format of class 9 Maths and science question paper. According to the recent pattern, 25% of the questions in the papers will be of the objective type. Also, the total number of questions in the papers have been increased from 30 to 40.

The Maths question paper will consist of 40 questions in total, divided into four sections, i.e., A, B, C and D.

Section A will have 20 questions of 1 mark each.
Section B will have 6 questions of 2 marks each.
Section C will have 8 questions of 3 marks each
Section D will have 6 questions of 4 marks each.

Objective type questions may be asked in different formats like multiple choice type, fill in the blanks and short answer type questions.
