Under the law, this visa is meant for people visiting Russia for business, but once more, they're legal loopholes that allow people to travel around it. Some use the visa for private visits without having to book hotels. This, however, doesn't allow you to figure in Russia albeit you're there for an extended visit. The sole Russia visas which will allow you to earn compensation for your services are your work visas.
