“find†Won't Work After Folders.dbx File Gets Corrupt In Ms Outlook Express
Microsoft Outlook Express is an extensively used email client as well as personal information manager used across the world for home as well as official purposes. Microsoft Outlook Express stores all important email messages, contact information, tasks as well as other Outlook user's data in corresponding DBX (Database extension) files. MS Outlook Express creates one file for every folder with DBX extension. All the DBX files are managed using Folders.dbx file which are the index of all the Outlook Express folders. However, in some cases, MS Outlook Express data acts inaccessible due to missing, corrupt or damaged Folders.dbx file. This results in loss of crucial data and compels you to perform Outlook Express repair.
In a practical working scenario, when you try to find any message, search option doesn't work effectively or the process terminates right after the continuous utilization. Even if you change the search criteria as it doesn't affect the search results. At the same time, you might not see the messages in Outlook Express. This might be a result of corrupt or damaged Folders.dbx file that the Outlook Express ...
... Client is behaving so abruptly. It might cause DBX file corruption and loss of imperative data.
This might be due to repeated and continuous use of ‘Find' command. When you exit Microsoft Outlook Express application with find threads running in the background and you cancel the ‘Find' dialog box, it might also result in such abrupt behavior of MS Outlook Express. Folders.dbx file, i.e. the index of Outlook Express folders comprises of a structure of all mail folders, new groups and some of the synchronization data. In order to perform Outlook Express Recovery in such situations, follow the steps given below:
Quit the Outlook Express application
Close Find threads started in the application
Remove all the Search Folder files on hard drive
To prevent further issues, delete Folders.dbx file in affected Identity
Open Outlook Express and perform new search to check for solution
If the issue caused is because of corruption or damage caused to the DBX files, you need to perform Outlook Express Repair and restore the important files with an updated backup. However, if a valid backup file is not available or the backup copy is either corrupt or not updated, you need to use third party Outlook Express repair tool to get your important data back.
These third party Outlook Express Repair tools are integrated with advanced scanning algorithms and so have an interactive and simple graphical user interface. These email recovery tools do not alter original data in the DBX file as these have read-only behavior and so your data is safe and secure. The software restores DBX file objects such as emails, notes, contacts, tasks, appointments, attachments and more.
