June 2019 marked the fifty-seventh anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision that was basically a message informing God that He was no longer needed as the critical guiding influence in the fabric of American culture and society. Further, from that time forward the federal government would be America’s god. Later the Supreme Court in another decision ruled that the Ten Commandments could no longer be displayed in public buildings and and that public school students should no longer be exposed to the beneficial guidance of God’s Ten Commandments.Those two decisions marked America’s entrance onto the road of apostasy.

The unfolding tragedy is that during those 57 years a number of generations of American young people have educated in the public schools, from elementary through post-secondary education, without the truthful and meaningful exposure to God’s Word or His commandments. Therefore, those individuals have never developed any spiritual resistance to Satan’s temptations of greed, power, violence, and lack of respect for other people and their rights and property. ... his liberal, atheistic followers have shown absolute contempt for God and His Christian believers.

In chapter one of our book, I provided an observation or warning by Robert Winthrop, an early Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. He said, “Men, in a word , must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them ,or power without them; either by the word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible, or by the bayonet.”

Speaker Winthrop was saying is the actions of people are more effectively controlled When God’s word and His Commandments have been successfully embedded in the hearts and minds of people. However, the satanic forces via the public education system have successfully infringed that process. As a result, society must now depend on the much less effective methods–the strong arm or the bayonet of the government to control the evil and wicked actions of people. In other words, the first is a more effective preventative measure while the latter is, at best and attempted act Of impossible restoration.

As I’ve reflected on the amount of violence that has been inflicted on innocent people during recent years, I am generally appalled with the historical ignorance or amnesia displayed by news reporters, commentators and politicians as they express amazement whenever these horrendous events occur. They either refuse or fail to recognize that those 1962 and 1963 Supreme Court decisions are linked to those horrible events. Instead the commentators and politicians would rather blame inadequate gun-control or inadequate access to mental health care.

This may be the time to rescind the June 25, 1962, Supreme Court decision in Engel v. Vitale, and the June 17, 1963 Supreme Court decision in Murray v. Curlett and Abington v. Schemp (see chapter three of our book). Then the Word of God and the Ten Commandments can be re-introduced into our public schools. Thus recognizing that America is once again on the road of being restored to its former status as a Christian nation.
