Indian dresses are very popular throughout the globe. Weavers use different techniques and arts to decorate the clothes and make the outfit look more ravishing and alluring. The dresses that Indians wear are very comfortable and made up of fabrics that are durable and long lasting. There are several kinds of fabric in which the outfits are made and are designed as per the demands and trends of the market and taste of the consumers.

Fashion in India:

Clothing in India differs as per the tradition and different states of the country. If we talk about Punjab then their traditional dress is Patiala salwar suit. In South India women wear silk sarees as their traditional outfits. Gujarat has bandhani sarees as their cultural dress. India also has several diversity in terms of fibres, colors, weaves and materials of clothing.

Some Types of Clothes:

There are a number of varieties in female clothing. They have salwar kameez, sarees, lehengas, gowns and many more. Their dresses are closely associated with the local culture and climate of the area where they live.

Sarees:

Saree is one of the oldest and most preferred attire by them. There are many different varieties of sarees worn by them. For casual wear they prefer to wear saree made of light fabric which provides them comfort. In occasions and festivals they wear heavy sarees made of fabrics like silk, velvet, net, etc.

They also pair blouses in different patterns and length as per their choice. The length of sleeves may vary according to one's taste and choice. There are also many different designs of neck that can be chosen as per one's body type. If you have a broad neck and slim arms, wide neck designs will look adorable on you, if you have round arms them simple designs like round neck will give you a cool look.

Salwar Suits:

A best alternate for sarees is salwar suits. The reason behind its popularity is that it can be worn by women of every age. Small girls also wear salwar suits on a regular basis and on different occasions. There are different varieties of salwar suits like churidar, patiala, palazzo, pants, anarkali suits, straight cut suits and many more. Nowadays it's a trend of pairing different types of salwar with kameez.

Slit kameez are very famous nowadays and they are paired with sharara salwars and long skirts. Straight cut tunics can be best matched with palazzo, narrow pants, churidar salwar and leggings for a gorgeous look.


Lehenga Choli:

There is a special outfit for occasions and festivals known as lehenga choli. This three piece attire consisting of a lehenga that is skirt, a choli that is blouse and a dupatta or stole is the first and foremost attire that a woman cherishes to wear on weddings, festivals and special occasions. The outfit is available in many different fabrics like georgette, silk, cotton, velvet, chiffon and net.

The materials can also be combined with other materials to make the outfit look more alluring and stunning. Sometimes cotton and silk are combined with each other to make a more comfortable and breathable fabric. Women choose the attire as per the climate and choice of the fabric.

Gowns and Skirts:

They also have an option to wear gowns, skirts and shararas. The fabulous pattern of sharara originated from the Mughal period. Firstly they used to wear this attire and after some time the pattern got immense popularity and was adopted by many women.

Gowns are also becoming very popular due to their comfort. They are easy to wear and carry. If you don't want to wear salwar kameez or long suits then gowns can be a better choice for you. Just get a perfect size and a ravishing color and you are ready for the party.
