Fill in the blanks question type in the Reading section contributes to both your Reading and Writing skills. There will be a text on-screen having a number of blanks in it. Each blank will have a drop-down containing options. You have to select the correct option from the blank. This task depends upon your understanding of how words fit into a context, vocabulary as well as grammar skills.

There will be 5-6 tasks of this type, contributing to both Reading & Writing scores with no negative marking. This task has no time limits, but the overall section has a time limit that needs to be aware of that.
Good vocabulary, grammar fundamentals and knowing the common collocations will help to fill in the blanks accurately. Always begin with the first blank. If you are able to find the right option, great, otherwise move to the next blank and revisit the blanks you are not sure about later.

Don’t Waste Time on one Blank
If you are not sure about the option, don’t spend too much time on it. Move to next. Keep the overall limit in mind.

After attempting, think does this option make sense in this sentence? If it gives meaning to the sentence! Put each option one by one in the blank, you can find the correct answer.

Keep a Check on Grammar
Grammar helps in finding the correct option such as identifying correct verb form, singular or plural, etc.

Attempt Every Blank
There is no negative marking. So even if you are not a hundred per cent sure, you can make your best guess.
