What can you expect from the first dental visit of your child?

Do you need to prepare your child?

We strongly believe that the first dental visit should be as stress-free and enjoyable as possible for your child. We encourage parents to accompany their child in the consultation room and if your child has a favorite toy, you're welcome to bring that as well. We will discuss regarding proper oral health and hygiene practices including diet, how to clean your child’s teeth and right oral care products. All your queries and concerns related to your child’s dental treatment will be well-addressed.

Children would be calmer and more accepting when they are prepared in advance, in the right way.

• Stay positive as parents. If you are nervous, chances are your kid will be nervous too.

• Avoid using scary words like injection, blood, pain, drills, hurt, etc.

• If possible, schedule a morning appointment when your child is most active and not sleepy or weary.

... health as well as the fact that a trip to the dentist is never as terrifying as you might think.

• Give your doctor enough time to talk to your child. The time spent initially on building rapport and gaining his/her confidence will, in turn, save the time required for treatment later.

• Kindly do not demand to start the treatment in the first appointment itself.

• Please carry your child’s medical history records (If any).
