Since 1945, Mahindra and Mahindra or M&M has been producing great cars for the Indian roads. In this article, let's have a look at the car maker's current inventory of new cars in India. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is best known for cars in India, but the company is also active in both, IT and financial services, steel processing, and infrastructure. M&M made its entry into the passenger car segment with the Logan in April 2007 under the Mahindra Renault joint venture.

The Mahindra Bolero, a Mahindra new car in India, has plenty of variants to choose from. The spacious off-road car personifies ruggedness, durability and economic maintenance. The SLX, SLE, XL, XLS, MDI, DI, and VLX CRDe are the different variants it comes in and 2.5-litre engine carried by all these variants suits the Indian roads just perfect. The Mahindra Maxx is a rough and tough passenger car from Mahindra for the rough and tough terrains of India. Base, LX, TX and Festara are the four main variants of the Maxx. Though a macho vehicle, the Maxx has attractive seats with elite fabric upholstery. The 2.1-litre 4-cylinder direct injection turbo diesel engine is capable of churning out 62 bhp of power at 4500 rpm and a maximum torque of 120Nm at 2000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission for smooth rides even on the rough roads. Other Mahindra new cars in India that fall in this category are the Maxx Maxi Truck, Maxx Pick-Up and Maxx Pick-Up Chassis.

We have another Mahindra new car in India that is not there in the other car markets. The Mahindra Maxximo, is an automobile that arrests the concealed and expressed needs of the car buyer in India. The 0.9L engine is capable of delivering 25 bhp of power. The Maxximo is equipped with a 4-speed automatic gearbox that shifts crisply and accurately. A mobile charging facility, LSPV (Load Sensing Proportionate Valve) brakes, dual-mounted sun-visor, drive-by-wire accelerator system, well-cushioned ouble-toned seats, convenient dead pedal are all present in the Mahindra Maxximo.

The Mahindra Scorpio, a Mahindra new car in India is the first car one in the nation complying with the BS IV emission norms. It is available in an array of variants: the LX, SLE, VLX, VLX BS4, and VLX Automatic. The 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged mHawk diesel engine present in all these variants is packed with 120 bhp of power. The engine on the top-end VLX model is integrated with the new micro hybrid technology that enhances fuel efficiency. This particular Mahindra new car is tagged as the Mighty Muscular in India.

The Scorpio Getaway, another Mahindra new car in India, is regarded as the global lifestyle SUV of the car maker Mahindra and Mahindra. The car comes in two variants - 2.6 2WD and 2.6 4WD. Both variants are equipped with a 2.6L turbocharged CRDe diesel motor. This engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission that comes standard in both variants. The interiors are unusually spacious and appealing. They are crafted with the most excellent materials and come with plenty of standard convenience features.

Next comes another Mahindra new car in India; the Mahindra Xylo, a completely developed MPV for modern India. The latest technology, amazing styling, great performance and high standards of safety is what one can expect from the Mahindra Xylo. E2, E4, E6, E8, E8 ABS and D2 are the six diesel variants that the car comes in. Except for the D2 which has a 2.5L mDI CRDe engine which churns out 95 bhp, all other variants are equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-litre m-Eagle engine that delivers 112 bhp. The car can sprint from 0 to 60 km an hour in just 6.6 seconds.
