When the scanner is on, you need to insert all the relevant data of your vehicle into the device. This includes your vehicle’s model number, engine number, VIN or vehicle information number. All these data are required for the scanner to operate perfectly.
Now wait for the scanner to scan the vehicle. In case, the tool is not scanning the vehicle’s diagnostic system then read through the manual so that you know which button to press in order to start the process.
Once the scanning is done, the OBD2 scan tool will generate some codes or single trouble code. Either transfer the code to your laptop or smartphone using the Bluetooth or write it down. You will need these codes to find out what they mean. Use the scanner’s manual to find out more about the different codes generated.
Once done, switch of the scanner. The tool has done its work.
