Well, we’re officially into the second full year of recreational cannabis use being legal in Canada.

For those looking for ways to enjoy their somewhat new found freedoms, the nation’s most populous city does not disappoint!

Here are some of the top cannabis-related events in Toronto to look forward to in 2020.

Cannabis Comedy Festival Presents: Love Buds – February 14th

This Valentines Day, the Cannabis Comedy Festival is bringing the perfect show for any couple looking to enjoy the day of love in a 4/20 friendly environment.

Love Buds is a cannabis-themed comedy show that will feature some of the best stand-up comics in Toronto, including headliner Nick Reynoldson.

The venue for the event will be the Lithuanian House at 1573 Bloor St W, and doors will open at 7 PM for the 8 o’clock show.

Toronto’s 4/20 Celebration – April 20th

The park is expected to be flooded with connoisseurs and advocates from 12-6 pm and will feature a wide array of vendors, live music, and even a farmers market.

Sadly, 4/20 does fall on a Monday this year, but if you can get the day off from work, head down to Woodbine Park to celebrate legal cannabis with your fellow Torontonians.

The Karma Cup – September 12-13

Toronto’s Annual Karma Cup is a cannabis festival where growers come from all over to showcase their products and engage in some friendly competition.

The festival offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts to try out different products and educate themselves on the practices of Canada’s top growers.

The highlight of the festival is the awards; judges sample various products that have been pre-registered to compete in specific fields and cast their votes.

The categories for Karma Cup victories range all over the cannabis sphere with everything from best indica bud to best solvent extract, and even best edibles. So check out this year’s Karma Cup and see what takes the cake!

The Karma Cup festival will be held in downtown Toronto, although the exact location of the venue will not be announced until September 6th.

O’Cannabiz Conference & Expo — April 23-25

Hosted by well-known Canadian comic Gerry Dee, the 2020 O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo is set to host one of the most critical cannabis conversations of the year.

The topics of discussion at the conference will include cannabis growth and cultivation, health and wellness, managing your cannabiz, and more. The conference will be packed with industry leaders eager to share their knowledge, including former professional soccer player Rachael Rapinoe.

Rapinoe is the co-founder of Mendi, a brand specializing in CBD recovery products for athletes. While some parts of the conference will be exclusive to industry members, others will be open to the public.
