Why choose to study a Site Manager Course when the construction industry is facing a shortage of skilled labour? The answer to that question can be considered as a negative impact or a positive opportunity for different individuals.

Many students completing their high school education pursue higher education opportunities to build a career and a successful future. Almost everyone applies for university courses to gain an advantage while entering the working environment. Students choose to study in business management and marketing sector because of the competitive market environment. However, not many young adults are applying for construction-related courses due to the risks of the job role. But is that something that should stop students from developing and growing in the industry?

Even though the industry is facing many risks and challenges while contributing to the economy, the sector is one of the most assuring areas to provide opportunities with greater possibilities. Students can develop and grow into the industry with no formal ...
... qualifications. The industry is best suited for students who are bored to go through examinations and want more practical experiences in a real-life working environment.

The construction industry provides a variety of choices to choose from while pursuing a career. Candidates can choose to study through the UK government regulated qualifications such as NVQ Levels, the professional awarding body qualifications such as RICS or CIOB, or through CITB courses. The candidate will also get a direct entry to apply for the Associate Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors . The qualification also allows a candidate to apply for the CSCS Black Card.

CITB Courses

Another qualification which will prove the competency of a site manager is the SMSTS courses provided by the Construction Industry Training Board. Site Managers Safety Training certifications can help you find jobs. Examples: site manager, assistant site manager or site foreman.
