EMBEDDED SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION:
Embedded system is a combination of Hardware,Software and Operating System(Real time operating system).It is designed for a specific function or functions within larger system.
eg:Mp3 players,ATM machines,Printers,Washing machine,Microwave ovens,etc...,
DEVICES:
• Embedded system is based on Microcontroller and Microprocessor with external peripheral interface circuits.
• 98% of Microprocessor are manufactured using Embedded system.
• The Microprocessor and Microcontroller was developed in the early 1960,which is an integrated circuit chip fabricated from MOSFET(metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors).
• Microcontroller is designed by Intel in 1981,it find applications where a general prupose computer would be too costly.
• The cost of microprocessors and microcontrollers becomes expensive analog components such as potentiometers and capacitors with up/down buttons.
• It contains Processor,Memory,Serial ports,Peripherals,etc..,

• performance is good but only less resources are used

DISADVANTAGES:
• Difficult to upgrade
• Troubleshooting is difficult
• Nearly not scalable
• Difficult to transfer data
