Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a hereditary disease. There are different types of EDS, but they all have some symptoms in common, such as elastic skin and loose joints that bruises easily. Even though these common symptoms, each type of EDS have a particular sign. For example, the symptoms of the classical type of EDS are mainly elastic skin and loose joints, whereas the symptoms of vascular EDS are generally thin elastic skin.
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is genetic, there is no permanent cure, but there are treatment options. If you or someone has been diagnosed with EDS, there are some simple things you can do to help with the syndrome. You can exercise or take vitamin C to lessen the intensity of symptoms of some EDS types, ensure to take yearly eye exams, avoid unwanted sun exposure, or take steps to protect your joints. You can also take prescription medicine for the pain and swelling in your joints.
A good strategy for averting some joint problems is to protect your joints. There are various ways to achieve this. The first way is to take a rest when doing a repetitive task such as typing or switch to a different ...
... task for a moment.
Some other treatment options for EDS are taking vitamin C supplements, eye exams, reducing sun exposure, surgery, and exercise. People who are suffering from EDS should get yearly eye exams because nearsightedness is common among them and can be easily fixed with contact lenses or eyeglasses.
Some EDS sufferers have success with vitamin C decreasing the intensity of their symptoms. Avoiding sun exposure is vital because of the skin problems related to EDS. The best method to avoid the sun while continuing a normal schedule is to wear long sleeves, long pants, and a wide-brimmed hat and put sunscreen on the remaining exposed skin area. The exercise program as a treatment option for EDS is to develop joint stability. Exercise achieves this by strengthening the muscles supporting the joint. Discuss with your doctor for the best exercise, because you have to avoid any exercise that puts stress on your joints. Surgery is often used as a last choice. If surgery is used, it is often to correct dislocated joints or fractures. It would be best if you always told your physician that you have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome when you are planned for surgery.
I suggest Speroclinic for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome treatment.
