ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Set up, repair, modify and maintain processes and packaging equipment
Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Perform preventative maintenance within a preventative maintenance program and maintain records
Respond to equipment issues in a customer-oriented manner
Responsible for working safely, following safety policies and wearing required PPE
Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES:

Millwright certification
Dual license (electrical, gas or refrigeration) would be preferred
Successful completion of an accredited packaging or maintenance mechanic course is an asset
Successful completion of a basic industrial electrical course is an asset
Valid Class G license
QUALIFICATIONS:

Mechanical/ basic electrical knowledge is required
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Able to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs and safety procedures (LOTO)
Working knowledge of CMMS programs
