How To Make Custom Templates In Word

Do you want to create any ‘custom Word template’ for your document? Many people do download it because of having a busy life. To know the method of making a custom template in MS Word, you need to go through this blog carefully.


Saving any Word Document as the Template

Firstly, visit Ribbon.
Then, tap on File.
After that, press on Save As.
Next, put a file name for identifying it easily in the ‘Save As’ dialog box.
Then, choose the file type pull-down arrow.
After that, select Word Templates. It will be in the file type pull-down arrow.
Note that if any of the documents has macros, press theWord Macros-Enabled Template rather.
Then, press on More options.
Next, go to the area that you wish using.
Lastly, press the Save.
Editing the present Template in Word

Firstly, tap on the File.
Then, select New.
After that, rather than the blank document, choose a template.
Next, press the Create option for downloading the template by the Gallery to another new Word file.
Note that the template associated Assistant shall ...
... be launched. Go through the steps that have been mentioned in the template.
Remember that according to the kind of your template, you shall be able to make changes. Put each of the details as well as save that as a document. This shall let you do the printing task and sharing with anyone that you want.
Creating template of your own in Word

Launch the blank Word document.
Then, remember that you shall be able to use Shapes for styling a simple letterhead. Footer can even be used at the end of the page of yours.
The best part is that you shall be able to change any property of your document before you go for saving the document as a ‘template.’ Such as, you shall be able to change margins and fonts, etc.
Next, visit the File menu.
After that, choose the given ‘Save As’ option.
Then, you need to do changing of the ‘Save as type: to Document Template (*.dotx)’ into the Save As dialog.
Next, put a name to the template of yours.
Then, press on Save.
Making an Interactive Template in Word

Make the template.
Next, think about the content controls which you wish to add.
Then, turn on the Developer option in tab. For doing it, do as follows:
Visit File.
Then, press on Options.
After that, tap on the ‘Customize Ribbon.’
Next, choose Main Tabs into the given list onto the right-hand side. It will be located under Customize the Ribbon.
Then, press on the Developer box for putting a mark on it.
After that, press on OK.
Next, visit the Control groups.
Then, press on Design Mode.
Lastly, put the controls which you wish having in the template of yours.
