Mba Specializations To Choose Based On Your Interests
An MBA, all over the country, is considered to be of high repute. Many colleges run MBA courses in Bangalore and various other states of the country. In this two-year course, the first year is dedicated to general management studies, and the second year focuses on specializations like Marketing, Finance, HR etc. which is chosen by the student. When it comes to selecting a specialization, one must decide to go for the one which interests them and meets their expectations.
Finance for Number Lovers
If Excel excites you and number crunching is your domain then, without a doubt, the best MBA specialization available is Finance. In this specialization, management accounting, analyzing financial models, preparing statements etc. outweigh other subjects. But Finance is not the only option. One who understands numbers can also opt for Marketing, for this field also requires data analytical skills along with extracting insights.
IT and Marketing for Travellers
A lot of students do not enjoy desk jobs, and instead, look out for jobs in which being on the field, travelling to different places is required. Such students ...
... can specialize in Marketing and Sales. But like any other job, this too has its challenges, one of it being constantly under pressure for meeting weekly or monthly targets. Apart from Marketing, people who enjoy travelling can also take up IT in their second year, which provides various opportunities abroad to different countries.
HR for Women
First of all, this is not to be misconstrued that only women go for this specialization or they should only do HR jobs. This means that HR is a hit among girls because of the comfort it provides. HR, as a field, is comparatively stable and looks for capabilities in candidates like listening skills, organization skills, communication skills, which women harbour better.
Marketing for Introverts
This is a common misconception that only extroverts should opt for MBA in Marketing because only they can excel in selling things and ideas to others, but this ideology is highly exaggerated. Many introverts like Warren Buffet, Mahatma Gandhi etc. have marketed themselves and their ideologies worldwide. So, taking inspiration from the world-famous people like these, don’t drop the idea of doing marketing just because you’re an introvert.
Whichever specialization you choose, make sure that you decide to go to companies in which your respective stream is the growing department. E.g., in telecom companies like Airtel and Vodafone, someone with a Marketing specialization and experience should join because more prominence to that sector is given.
