Bangalore Palace

Bangalore Palace is one of the city’s oldest landmarks, established in the late 18th century by King Chamaraja Wadiyar. This Tudor-style palace estate was inspired by the style of the iconic Windsor Castle in England with lots of grandeur and elegant features, including fortified towers, woodcarvings, arches, stained glass windows, Victorian furniture, old paintings, royal memorabilia and lush lawns. The palace is now open to the public and also regularly hosts shows and concerts.

Bull Temple

This is one of Bangalore’s oldest Hindu temples, believed to date back to the 15th century when it was established by the founder of Bangalore. The Bull Temple is dedicated to Nandi, the sacred bull with impressive Dravidian architecture and a statue of Nandi which is considered as one of the largest of its kind in the world, carved from a single granite stone. Attara Kacheri

Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace was the summer residence of Tipu Sultan, the former ruler of Mysore, which was built in the late 17th century. The incredible Indo-Islamic teak wood architecture of this monument is sure to leave you awe-struck, and what’s more is that it’s now a museum open to the public, displaying Sultan’s personal belongings including his clothing and swords. The palace is surrounded by pristine gardens and features intricate interiors decorated with floral patterns.
