Most of us who are able-bodied can never understand the pain that a handicap person has to undergo. Life in a wheelchair is not an easy one. Yet, there are many who are embracing life with arms wide open. They don’t let their handicap suck out the happiness in their life. They believe in living life to the fullest. One such individual is Richard Farrant. He was diagnosed with Friedreich’s ataxia at the age of 8. By the time, he turned 19, his lower body became limp and his life was restricted to a wheelchair. But that did not dampen his spirit. Rather he became more determined to enjoy his life. He now travels throughout the world creating awareness about this ailment and how travelling has helped to lift his spirits. He encourages everyone to travel to different parts of the world.
